Association of Scouts of Azerbaijan (Azərbaycan Skautlar Assosiasiyası) was founded on 11th of October 1997, when Namik Jafarov, the former president of association gathered the first members of the new movement and pitched the first scout camp in Nabran (Northern region of Azerbaijan).August 2007 was the Centenary Celebration for all the Scouts round the world. Scout movement, first Founded by Lord Baden Powell in 1907, played the great and irreplaceable role in the history of 20th century. Just for 100 years the Movement has gathered more than 28 million scouts, girls and boys.
